National Arthritis Foundation
Last year, NAF reached about 5,000 individuals and supported nearly 2,000 beneficiaries through patient assistance, disease awareness and support programmes. Donations help people with arthritis manage pain, improve mobility and maintain independence. $200 covers 85% of a home physiotherapy session, $400 fully subsidises a hydrotherapy programme for one patient, while $1,000 provides a 12-week Tai Chi programme for 30–40 residents, helping them stay active and maintain healthy joints.
National Arthritis Foundation (NAF) is an Institution of a Public Character (IPC) status charity founded in 1984, dedicated to improving the lives of individuals with arthritis and musculoskeletal (MSK) autoimmune conditions. Its mission focuses on public education, advocacy, and patient care – from the provision of medical subsidies, welfare grants and subsidised therapy to underprivileged patients to ease the cost of long-term treatment and rehabilitation, to wellness programmes that promote the maintenance of healthy joints for improved quality of life.
