Silver Ribbon (Singapore)
Donated funds enable us to support individuals experiencing stress or coping with mental health conditions through our free counselling services, particularly those who may otherwise fall through the cracks. They also help us raise mental health awareness through free community events and talks, encouraging people to understand the importance of mental health and seek help early.
Silver Ribbon (Singapore) was established in 2006 to combat mental health stigma and encourage early help-seeking, with the support of Singapore’s 6th President, Mr. S. R. Nathan. Since then, we have worked with government agencies, educational institutions, religious groups, grassroots organisations, and community partners to address gaps in mental health support. We have also advocated for removing mental health-related questions from job applications and decriminalising suicide, promoting greater understanding, inclusion, compassion, and support for persons with mental health conditions.
