Asian Film Archive
Your donation will help us in preserving our film collection. This includes purchasing materials necessary for long-term preservation, such as film canisters (for film reels) and LTO (linear tape open) format tapes (for digital preservation). We also digitise films so that more people can access the collection.
Asian Film Archive (AFA) is a non-profit organisation founded in 2005 to save, explore and share the art of Asian Cinema. We aspire to be a hub for the Asian film community, through organising screenings, educational and cultural programmes to promote a wider critical appreciation of this art form. We have a growing collection of over 3,000 film titles and thousands of film-related materials that form part of our collective film heritage. AFA is home to the Cathay-Keris Malay Classics Collection, which is inscribed into the UNESCO Memory of the World Asia-Pacific Register in 2014.
