Centre 42 Limited
Your donation gives a playwright space to develop a new work, or help an artist-in-residence receive a stipend while they create. It also supports professional development and mentorship for emerging theatre-makers, as well as the digital maintenance needed to keep Singapore’s theatre archive secure and publicly accessible. $150 subsidises a writer for a playwriting workshop, while $500 helps fund 4 months of dramaturgical support for a writer developing a new script. Larger gifts further contribute towards stipends and programme costs for playwrights in a year-long residency at Centre 42.
Centre 42 supports Singapore theatre-makers with programmes, resources and guidance to develop their craft and projects, while documenting and preserving Singapore’s theatre history through our archival work. Since 2014, we’ve journeyed alongside over 300 artists and collectives, and helped bring to life more than 200 new theatrical projects. We nurture storytellers, champion local stories, and help bring them to audiences in Singapore and around the world.
