What donations support

Donations help fund LCCS workers trained in restorative practice to engage individuals and families experiencing conflict, harm or disconnection. Using restorative practice principles, workers listen to their experiences, understand their needs, and support them in preparing for difficult conversations through restorative circles. These circles are structured group conversations where participants can acknowledge harm and its impact, share their needs and perspectives, take responsibility, and contribute towards a way forward. This often involves multiple sessions to build readiness, understand different perspectives, and support the process safely. Donations also support upstream activities, such as community circles and relationship-building sessions, that strengthen communication and connectedness before conflict escalates. Our work takes place across school, institutional, and community settings. For example, Project Rekindle supports incarcerated individuals and their families to address disconnection, understand the impact of incarceration, and work towards repairing relationships.

About

LCCS is a registered charity with Institution of a Public Character status, founded in 2002 by the Lutheran Church in Singapore. It is accredited by the Ministry of Social and Family Development as an authorised adoption agency, a member of the National Council of Social Service, and an affiliated partner of the International Institute for Restorative Practices (IIRP). LCCS applies restorative practice across prisons, families, schools, workplaces and neighbourhoods — repairing harm and rebuilding relationships to break cycles of hurt caused by conflict, poverty, crime and violence.
