Methodist Welfare Services
MWS aims to empower all to have life to the full through 5 impact areas: Bringing warmth to socially isolated seniors through social and health programmes; Offering community-based day care, home-based personal and nursing care, residential care, and hospice care to the chronically ill, frail and destitute; Strengthening families in distress through counselling, marriage, parenting & divorce support, and a debt relief and asset building programme for low-income families; Providing shelter, therapy and counselling to youth at risk; and Nurturing disadvantaged children through after-school care.
METHODIST WELFARE SERVICES empowers people facing disadvantage and distress, regardless of race or religion, to move beyond poverty towards dignity, resilience and fuller lives. Poverty can involve fractured relationships, isolation, poor health, financial hardship or limited access to resources and opportunities. MWS takes a whole-person approach, meeting physical, emotional and psychosocial needs while building on each individual’s strengths. Today, MWS supports more than 22,000 families and individuals across Singapore through 24 service points. Visit mws.sg for more information.
